Re: Turning a bike round in a garage
I spin em round on the sidestand. Dead easy when you get the knack.
It maybe buggers the stand but hasn't with any of mine...and anyway, used stands are cheap on eBay. |

Re: Turning a bike round in a garage
If you put something under the foot of the stand like a crushed can, it will spin much easier on that than on concrete and won't wear the foot of the stand.

Dismantle it and rebuild it pointing the other way...?

Getting a man in to quote to extend the garage.
Easier if we can get car and bike in side by side. |

Re: Turning a bike round in a garage
Failing a garage extension, You could buy something like this:
Center stand mover, you could drive your front wheel on to it daily and then just pivot the bike round on the back wheel. You would of course cause wear or damage to your rear tyre BUT not if you always parked your rear wheel on top of a piece of cardboard which would move with the tyre to eradicate that problem. Each day when you park up. Ride onto the stand and cardboard and its ready to move. I tend to park in my garage within mm of the same place each day without even planning to so pre positioning the cardboard etc shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Turning a bike round in a garage
Not cheap, but a damn sight cheaper than a bigger garage, or dropping your bike.
