starter control wires
Hi all
ive removed my datatool s3 alarm and reconected the two isolation wires. 1) black yellow 2) orange white most of the other wires are T in (soldered in line) the problem is there was a lead made up of two wires from the datatool (both black) the wires pluged in to the original loom. i belive the wires from the original loom are for the start control 1)yellow / green 2)black / white 3)yellow / black the problem im having is there are plugs on the original loom so it makes me think there should be a plug or wires in the loom for it to plug to ? their arent any. after refering to the haynes manual it shows the same wires coming from the starter control relay ?? anyway long story short i think these wires are ment to be conected to the relay/diode unit (relay under the seat) but i dont have pins or anyidea were the go. so if any one has a sv650s curvy could you have a look and see if you can spot the wires going into the relay. so after thinknig it through looking at the datatool alarm i noticed that only two of the three wires were been used. 1)yellow / green 3)yellow / black after thinknig it through and trying to start the bike earthing out and makeing the wires live nothing happened, there was no voltage while the ignition was on or off so the only othere thing i hadnt tried was conecting the wires together. this made sence as there was only wires going into the datatool none coming out to rejoing the loom and these wires were not T in. anyway the bike works fine started perfectly and took it for a 40mile ride no problems. just wanted to know do these wires have to go through a relay or do you think the way i have them will work just as well. think they have to do with the side stand and the clutch switches (prevent the bike from starting when clutch not ingauged and when side stand is up) |
