Important info re. Xmas get-together

Have been waiting for almost a week now for a return phone call from the Stormy regarding our booking for the xmas get together. The problem is that the manager is ill and they are no longer doing food. However they said they would try to arrange for another chef and either way would let me know within 2 days.... but they haven`t

As i`ve had no phone call and it`s drawing nearer to the date i`ve made a decision to re-arrange the venue. I`m just hoping that everyone will be ok with this and it won`t cause anybody to have to back out of the meal.

I chose this venue because i remember somebody mentioning to me that they were a biker friendly pub and I also think (fingers crossed) that its pretty central for most people coming.

If anyone is unhappy and would prefer to stick with the stormy even though they`re not doing food then we can put it to a vote. I apologise for not posting a thread asking for venue suggestions but I thought that by the time we sorted it all out it might be too late to book anywhere.

If anyone is still thinking of coming but hasn`t yet put their name on the booking thread please do so asap as i`ve booked the table for 16 people.

No probs for me but it seems that they mainly do Chinese food.

They do English food Stevie but the choice is a bit limited. If you scroll to below the xmas and new years party bit then click on the link chinese and english food, scroll right down to the bottom and there`s some choices there. Is just basic fish, scampi, chicken, burgers.

EDIT: do you need a deposit from us for booking the table or anything?

No they`ve not asked for a deposit so no worries there. Might be worth taking a look Dave.... i`ve never been myself, just heard its a nice pub and bikers welcome
