Seems John! My sister has it now, a visit to the Docs or Dentist requires wearing a mask- it ain't going away in a hurry.

I've had covid jabs the last two years but I'm now deemed not at risk, despite my age, so I don't qualify for another booster. I've not even heard yet about the annual flu jab so I'm wondering if that will be down to me using the company scheme.

Not sure cutting back on eligibility is a good idea just yet. Family wedding next weekend so I just hope I don't finally come down with it beforehand.

There's a new strain about and the Autumn is a time for an up tick if the past two years are anything to go by. I know of quite few with it at the moment. Wore my mask to the shops for the first time in ages today.

Typical, lovely Sunday morning and I've been flattened by a virus the last couple of days.

You know it's bad when you can't be arsed going out on the bike!

I have a gripe about Meteo (they supply the BBC's weather forecasting). On the Humber estuary, at least, it's hopelessly optimistic.

Yesterday's Meteo forecast - sunny all day 21°C

Met office forecast - cloudy all day 18° C

Met office spot on, Meteo wildly out. It was worse for Friday; Meteo forecast sunny intervals - reality occasional drizzle. Met office were closer saying cloudy all day.
Meteo is American and I think their inherent optimism affects their forecasting. I watched the live forecast on the Beeb news channel and they were saying I was in sunshine all afternoon - looking out the window said otherwise. Maybe they need a new pine cone and piece of seaweed?

My wife tells me not to bother with forecasting, they are normally always wrong anyway

Same here in Shrewsbury. Forecast for a sunny day but it was grey for most of it.
