Engine replacement
Hi All,
First post here. I am looing to replace and engine in my sv650s K3 from a k4 model. Would they be compatible? ie all bolt holes line up, k4 fits in k3 frame ok? etc Cheers! |

+1 to the above. In fact, any single-spark-plug injection engine will be a straight swap in terms of frame, electrics etc - the engines did not change from the K3 to K6 models. May also be worth looking at engines from bikes that are recorded as "registered in 2007" as they could still be a single-spark K6.
In 2007 the SV got two spark plugs per cylinder, revised fuel injection etc so I'm not sure if the swap / connecting electrics would be as easy. |
