Default Brake LInes

After reading the SV650 top ten list on MCN's website I have had a look on Hel's website for brake lines. I think I'm going to request a full kit from my Girl Friend but I was just wondering what size the bleed nipples are on the sv650 (99). I think they are M8 but can someone confirm as they may be smaller?

I have a 99 also and just blead the brakes the other day.
I think it's actualy smaller than M8 but can't remember, still have the spanner sitting out so could let you know tomorrow.
Not much use if your ordering just now though.

HAHA no not just yet don't have the cash at the mo but they need sorting. I know that the nut part of the nipple is M8 and that the bolt is thinner so I'm making a guess at M7 but I need to be sure. Thanks

It's not M8, it's 8mm head. Size of spanner does not indicate size of thread.

I would say ask HEL, but... No. Don't do that. They and Goodridge have a longstanding competition going to find out who can send out the most incorrect parts with their kits

M7 x 1.00

The Suzuki bleed nipples are 7mm and with a 1.00 pitch, they have a 8mm hex head on them so you will need a 8mm spanner. You will need four bleed nipples in total for the SV as the rear calliper has two nipples.
