Honda CB350
Not the CB350 I remember, it was a twin (or a grey import 4 cylinder). The "K" series CB350 used to be the top selling bike in the US, but this is a single:
https://www.rideapart.com/articles/4...-hness-launch/ It's for the Indian market to compete against Royal Enfield.

Re: Honda CB350
As a Bonneville rider I rather like the looks.

Re: Honda CB350
Yeah, so I .. Proper retro, air cooled engine, twin shocks and looks nice and simple and the seat looks comfortable, and passenger bit of seat is useable unlike my SV.

Re: Honda CB350
it wont matter. the RE has a huge cult following on its home turf and trying to muscle in on the action will be futile. people have to remember that dealerships are very few and far between but you will find parts for RE's readily available pretty much everywhere in India. so trying to introduce a new bike also needs a huge network of back street garages willing to work on them.
i do like the look of it. |

Re: Honda CB350
I bet even the corner shop in a remote Indian village keeps parts for Royal Enfield, it has been such a part of Indian life for such a long time everybody knows what goes wrong and how to fix them. Things in India are far more price sensitive than in most countries. A lot of their taxis are Morris Oxfords and once again everyone knows how to fix them. Honda have a mountain to climb to convince Indian buyers that their bike is worth the extra money, if it is fuel injected that may actually work against it as it means more complication.
At least the Honda has a centre stand, which is more than my SV has, and nowhere to fit one either.

Re: Honda CB350
Quite like the looks, a pity about the 20hp power output - pretty disappointing when the DR350 could muster 30hp 30 years ago and Honda's own CBX250RS was good for 31hp 35 years ago - both air cooled singles.
Still it's got Bluetooth, perhaps that's more important these days than bhp
