I left my bag and packing stuff at work so I will need to go back tomorrow to pick them up. I was hoping to pack the stuff up tonight to ship out.

I checked out the Contessa I picked up the other day. Meter overexposes by 1 stop (near enough, when you add in the snappy shutter and stray sunllight), focus is accurate, it's actually clean, a couple of small fungus spots but really not worth disassembling, shutter speeds are almost right and not sticking, so all in ready to shoot. The self-timer is too sticky to work but may never have been used anyway, or be used again. I wish the ones I wanted to keep could turn up in this condition!

Good haul from the car boot. First one was a bust but went to another. Got a Nikon FM for £1

But the film advance lever is broken, however it can be cranked using a coin and the winder on the bottom, someone has scratched their name and address on the bottom. They lived in Mount Vernon Washington. I also got a Helios 44M lens for £2, a Kodak Box Brownie for £1, a Kodak Disc 4000 with film for £1, a Kodak Twin 20 for £1 and a Nettar case for 50p.

Johnny, I posted off the Perkeo and the flashes. Yoko, also sent the X700 and a selection of screws. The wind lever and the capacitor are in the film chamber. Just unpacked the T50, thanks for sending it down. Can't believe it was a fiver!

Glad the T50 arrived safely. It was remarkably cheap - the strap would probably fetch a fiver on ebay too. It sounds like you had a good day all in, lots of car booty, including a cheap Helios. Mine arrived today from Rocky and it's fine. No scratches or fungus and stops down as it should on the Fujica.
Looking forward to the X700 - and the screws...see if I can get the meter working on the 35rc.

Went out first class this morning. Going to try another sale tomorrow. Will get the T50 loaded and add it to the queue. I have put a mix of screws in so hopefully something will fit.

Thanks, that's great. I don't have anything that tiny. Looked through lots of electrical stuff in the house too but found nothing to cannibalise.
I'm heading for York again tomorrow, wondering what cameras to take.
