The green connector again!
My K3 burned out the green ignition connector block some time ago and I replaced it with a bigger unit from an ATV. I thought that using a connector with bigger blades would mean that it was safe from further issues, but alas this was not the case.
The replacement connector also burned out and the cause was some corrosion of the terminal. I had used a water proof shield to protect the connector, but all it did was keep the water in and speed up the corrosion. I have now replaced it for the second time and my precious Sylvie is back to her usual reliable self. Happy days |

Also is it possible the protective cover is doing more harm than good?Maybe holding in moisture that otherwise would evaporate away? Once you have ACF50'd the connector you could smear some dialectic grease over it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dielectric...kAAOSwxH1UFN2R HTH

Re: The green connector again!
The manufacturers of ACF-50 also make Corrosion Block. Just pop apart the connector and place a line of the dielectric grease along the crimp and reassemble.
