So does that mean K4+ for 650 or thou should fit? Part numbers suggest not but that may be coincidental.

Ultimately can't say without trying it. But at least we've ruled out the hen's teeth K3 seat.

This svrider thread strongly suggests K3N thou and K4+ anything are completely compatible.
