TRE timing retard eliminator - SV650.org

Stumbled across these things a while back and was wondering if anyone actually put them on the bike and does it work? Is it worth it? Hmmmm

There has been a few threads about it and in general the consensus has been not really for the price, the TPS adjustments are more noticeable and free...

Although I say this as someone who is about to pay a sizeable sum to knock a chunk of weight off of a flywheel assembly.

I just did the TPS adjustment and didn't think it would be a really noticeable adjustment, but it is! Much smoother throttle roll ons and. Response. Well worth doing!
For what it's worth I made the dealer tool out of a paper clip and insulated it with duc tape as I couldn't push the wire in the holes?

Really? Damn i gotta try it! Not sure if its been done by previous owner or not but worth a shot, who doesnt want more smoother throttle response! thanks guys i gotta look into doing this

TRE and TPS are two different things.

TRE is a pointless waste of time as you won't notice any difference. Besides the TRE mod is effectively just cutting a wire.

TPS adjustment is free and takes 20 minutes and makes a difference worth having.

I have a K5 pointy if that makes a difference? Sounds like TRE is a must for all pointys then!
