Rained all day here. I didn't even go out of the door. Tidied the FX-D up a bit and replaced the hinge seals and mirror bumper. It looks good to go now.

Been snowing/sleeting here, and was at work this morning. Had to drive out to Felixstowe and help my wife who picked up a screw in the tyre of her MR2.

A pertinent question, alas with no relation to photography. Final look at stone counters for our new kitchen, stools for this, mattress for my dad, also some furniture, finally home, but all rounded off with a terrifyingly hot curry and for added roulette points I pounded a few liquorice allsorts afterwards.

Right, I have the battered Bessa in a condition where I can use it. Only thing missing is the red window. Any suggestions?

No ideas on that one, I'm afraid. What is the red window?

Sorry, forgot you haven't done medium format yet. On older cameras you have to look through a small red window to wind the film to the next number. Not like these spangly new cameras where the advance auto stops at the next frame. Without the window I could fog the film if I open the window cover.

Ah, I got it. I can remember winding films on by number when I was a kid.
Is the window missing on the Bessa?

Raining again. Sad that I am, I'll pass the next couple of hours pickling vegetables.
