Default Mirror replacements 2017

Hi all,

London filterer here. Kinda fed up with the dumbo ears on the new SV.

Other than bar ends as I'm not a fan of having no bar end weight, what replacement mirrors could I get for the OEM that don't stick out so much? Looking at cheapo 10mm such as Ryde and people say the vibrations are horrible.

Would love some ideas please.

I don't have the need to filter so forgive my ignorance but if you fit narrower mirrors won't you lose rearwards visibility? I have a reasonably good view of my elbows with the stock mirrors as it is (I may be deformed).
Same here, so we both may be deformed I think the standard mirrors are fine, would not want anything smaller or closer to centre of the bike.

Alchemy also have a big selection, if you hover the mouse over the picture of mirrors it gives you more information like dimensions. https://www.alchemyparts.co.uk/mirrors/

For filtering, spending a bit extra on mirrors that hinge would be my recommendation.

Tight gaps in London are a pain in the **** sadly. I'd prefer not to lose reward vision too much but given the amount I shoulder check, it's a trade-off I'm willing to make.

Will look at both sites. Much appreciated guys!

Check if your bike has one LH and one RH thread before you look for mirrors, IIRC the left hand mirror on SV-AL7 has a LH thread and RH has RH so that wind force on mirror tends to tighten the thread. LH threads normally have a groove around the nut hexagon. Alchemy refers to LH thread as 'reverse thread' LOL.
