I've used everything (trust me on this ). The best polish by far (as regards quality of shine) is simple household Pledge. Surely not? Perfectly true I assure you. Makes a black bike look extra black. Longterm protection? No not really but if you polish on a regular basis more than good enough.

It's also the easiest polish to apply as well. It's also the cheapest.

Nothing - I don't have an SV

However, I use Autoglym resin polish on my Hornet's paintwork about once per month and, as jonboy says, Pledge for the "brightwork".

Autosol for the downpipes which, on my bike, are stainless steel. Not sure if they are on the SV, though?

I use Autoglym resin polish on mine 2... found that i only have to do it once or twice a year. Then just give a good clean now and again comes up just lovely.

As you have asked

If it hasnt been done in a while, then i start with 3M Cut. This is like T-Cut but 1000 times better and easie to apply.

Then normaly, Wash with high quaility car soap/wax , then a coating of 3M Glaze compound, then finish off with a hi polish wax.

Shinner than a shiney thing.

Oh, my dad is a professional valeter! If i want an easy clean, then its Mer

The Autoglym is clear.

They do two versions - I use the less expensive one but it's still pretty pricey
