Cheers lads. I was quite reassured by the marker pen arrow!

I only had a cataract in that eye (mine was through injury rather than old age) but the lens replacement has also sorted out my short sightedness on that side.

I’m now way out of balance in terms of vision, with one good eye and one bad so I’m due back in the next four weeks to get the other lens replaced.

Another couple of weeks recovery for that one and, all being well, I should be right.

My Dad had the same done. He now has one good eye for driving and the other for reading. He also noticed how much whiter everything looked after he got the one done. Apparently our eyes yellow over time, which might be part of the reason everything becomes higher contrast as you get older. Can make night dirivng / riding harder as dark areas are darker in comparison to light sources. I'm sure I used to be able to drive at night easier with better ability to see the edges of the road when someone came the other way with lights on.

New car day.

I've coincidentally now ended up with a Black BMW car & bike.

Very happy with the new (to me) car and hope to keep piling the miles on.

Two Smiles of the Day today.

1. New lid arrived from Infinity York this morning. It's a snug fit!

2. Clean bike. The old girl scrubs up quite nicely for a scuffed and battle scarred, 96,000 mile veteran.

First proper clean for months Mav. Pressure wash and lots of Muc-Off. I’ll give it another one before the winter starts, but I’ll take the fairing lowers off to do it next time.

It’s a bit scruffy up close Darren. ACF50 puts a nice shine on it though.

96k miles? That's a tribute to your maintenance as well as Suzuki's engineering.
