Re: curvy - fuel tank mounting query
I measured 86mm on a pointy, you reckon thats measuring error or are they different?
Any chance of a double check on the curvy spacing? |

Re: curvy - fuel tank mounting query
hey flymo,
sounds like your fitting a pointy tank on a curvy?? if so let me know how it goes coz its a mod i wanna try but dont have acces to a pointy to see if it will work! already got a pointy rear end on my curvy, so the tank will finish it off nice! |

Re: curvy - fuel tank mounting query
actually that might be a little trickier. I'm not planning to use a different tank, I was interested in the bolt spacing for the purposes of fitting a steering damper.
For interchanging tanks between models I think theres only one sure way to find out . The position of the rear tank mount would need to be checked with relation to the front mounts, also the profile of the frame and the seat would need to be checked to make sure they fit. Also, dont forget the fuel pump electrical fittings etc. Best way is to try one. Would be interested to hear if they swap though. |
