That aside, I never knew you could have come-to-my-house-and-wash-my-car services! I might do that for a bike. Saves me sitting on it through a Shell station carwash..

its what up to no gooders do. they ring the bell to make sure nobody is in, then go about their pilfering ways. if somebody answers they say im looking for so and so and give an incorrect name or address.

personally i reckon widey was right in his suspisions, maybe not so on his actions

We had somebody ring our doorbell twice, and my mum was busy so didn't answer, so they got some ladders, climbed over the garage into our garden, then started setting up against our upstairs windows, they claimed they were window cleaners. I think my mum went berserk and they did a "We're so sorry, must be the wrong address and did a runner"
