Sewer, job, snigger! Sorry...

I got myself a basc rodding (yes, I know) set many years ago when the kitchen drain backed up. They've more than paid me back in avoided callout fees since. Every couple of years I send then down the line that goes from the kitchen and utility room gullies, under the garage to the collection junction in the driveway, and we've had no issues since. Thankfully.

Hope yours behave themselves now RT.

There is not much fall in the pipe running along the rear of the house and my problems started after I installed a modern toilet with lower flush options coupled with the fact that the conservatory stops me using my rods. I intend fitting a rodding point next spring which will sort that. I do like the idea of periodically giving it a rodding as well, Thanks Sr T

Exactly! I'd love to be able to say she's my daughter-in-law.

Remind me how old we all are would you??

As the saying goes: growing old is a given, growing up is optional

Morning all. A dry day in store today, so I'm off out with Mabel and a friend for a walk shortly. Then it's back for a series of meeting, one from 10.00 - 1.00, then two more running back to back early this evening. Busy day I think.

How's everyone's day looking?

Usual work nonsense today. Now we've made it through two month ends our wonderful payroll department have said our "hypercare" is now closed and if we ask for help, get anything wrong, or need to raise a trouble ticket, they will charge our cost centre up to £100 each time. Considering the training has been hopeless and in my 35 years in finance I've never been expected to do so much of payroll's job for them, I'm not impressed. Still, eight working days till I pack up for Christmas. Which means it is also eight working days until I hand in my 3 month's notice

Shhhh.... keep that under your crash helmet!

Its another grey wet day here - started the prep to finally fit a carpet in the conservatory, nearly 2 years since the stroke took the wind out of my sails
