Default who remember the MZ


Saw one of these today.MZ 1000s,
I have never seen one before and it got alot of attention at Weston Bike Night.
Any thoughts?

Apart from the (gag!) parallel twin engine, and the sub-comstar wheels its got a lot of cool design.... unfortunately from 10yr ago, when the original/radical design 1st got seen! The pre-production bikes were finished to a high standard. A shame, think it took too long to put into production and get a reasonable dealer network together.

Never seen one on the road.

Are MZ still on the go?

Looks intriguing, the front is a bit different eh...

And I've never seen the chain on that side of the bike, perhaps I'm just ignorant

Does anyone remember the Ural 650 which came from Russia with the sidecar already fitted. The problem was it was on the wrong side for the UK, quite a scary prospect for the person in the chair as the rider edged out to see if the road was clear

My old English teacher had an MZ almost 40 years ago, it was wierd, the headlight was fixed and didnt turn with the bars. mind you we thought he was a wierd beard then, now he is probably cool or dead

I has a MZ125ETZ years ago , which the engine seized and locked the back wheel & had me off .

I think there was one on one of the ecosse rideouts a couple of years ago, cant remeber whos it was though
