Cafe racers and scramblers seem to be the go just lately and manufacturers are 'scrambling' to get on the bandwagon. From my experience knobbly tyres on the road are not a good idea, I had a 250 Honda Trail bike (more years ago than I care to remember now) with trials tyres (tread blocks are spaced closer than scrambles tyres) - used to weave a bit on corners, and brown underpants time on wet tarmac.

Same sort of thing here, not something that I would wish to repeat. Once you have experience of a modern quality road tyre (PR'4 in my case) then "trials tyres" would feel and probably would be bloody dangerous.

Yebbut one of them is a cafe racer - ooh-la-la - very pretty. The paint job is a bit classic Yamaha-like to me, but with different more Suzuki like colours (Rizla?) it would be even nicer IMHO.

For that sort of look you want to go back an era with the colours. Skoal Bandit perhaps, or Faberge. You're right abut that yellow being a bit too Yamaha.

It isn't just the colour yorkie-chris, it is the colour and the black stripe which, if it had a few breaks in it would be the classic Yamaha race colours.
