Re: Very lucky to still be alive.
No SPD clips, the weight of the foot on peg with sticky rubber should be enough and then a piece on the side to stop foot from coming out sideways. No more attaching, just ways of supporting and using body weight to prevent movement, until required!

Re: Very lucky to still be alive.
Tilt swithches could'nt work, have you seen how far he "tilts" it over, he's looking at Marquez too closely
SPD's I guess would not get through scrutineering/legislation/rules. Having looked at the bikes during the winter SIMPLICITY is an absolute requirement, the current system he uses, "I" think, just needs refining. GWS mate |

Re: Very lucky to still be alive.
GWS Talan. Sounds like an impressive stack.
How about a switch or pressure sensor in the grips for the electro magnet idea. As soon as both hands release the bars the electro magnet releases. Could even do it as a reed switch and a metallic layer in the gloves. When the gloves are too far away from the bars the magnet releases. Last edited by ClunkintheUK; 28-08-13 at 09:03 AM. |
