With both my hands in your muffage it most certainly did

Any luck with the diagnosis?

Got my eye on 2 Power Commanders on eBay - should I, shouldn't I?! I loved what the PC did to my Z750 and am sooooo tempted!

At the moment its up on the stand in the garage, seat cowling off looking most sorry for itself Thought i might take the opportunity to get some black hammerite and tidy up the paintwork under there, but now Christopher's off school sick so i can't get out of the house!!

Jeffs been on auto-trader eyeing up sv thou's. it wont be long!! He reckons he's too tall for the 650 and will be more comfy on the 1000 but ignores me when i tell him they're the same size!! Too much testosterone thats what i reckon, just wants more cc to say that he's got it!!
I like the red/black frame one's but apparently thou's are more difficult to get round corners, and sometime's i only just make it on the 650, so i guess i'll stick with what i've got!

The guy at the local Honda is desperate to get me out test-riding one of his cbr600's though......

I got on your 650 and it did feel small compared to the thou - even though there isnt much in it at all. The plastics are the same between the 650 and 1000 but the frame is different. Harder to get round corners is something I hear a lot from people who have never ridden a thou - I find it like a BMX compared to my old Blackbird and I have certainly never had any problem with it - I think its just 650 owners trying to poke holes in the 1000 as deep down they wish they all had one

Oh *********!!!

My car (R reg Escort Tdi Estate 140k miles) went in today for a replacement turbo gasket and MOT, and i was expecting a bill for around £200 from my mums good friend who owns a tyre/exhaust place in Bedford.
They phoned earlier and while it was up on the ramps noticed it needs new mid and back exhaust, new cv boot and several other bits, totalling £380 . He was then about to MOT it (another £50) but was warning me that there are some very dodgy spots underneath that he didnt want to press too hard (none of this comes as a surprise, the car is in a right state!) so im waiting for the call to tell me that its failed the MOT and how much more it will be on top of the £430 already quoted.

Well, a) i have no money so Jeff gets no choice but to pay which isnt fair, we dont even live together b) its not worth spending anything on cos its just gonna become more of a money pit, c) the kids and i are going to have to manage without a car and d) if we cant manage without cos they are very young and cant be expected to walk everywhere, then my bike will have to go to fund a newer car.

Im not a happy bunny, i cant deal with the financial strain, the strain on the kids of having no car or the strain on my relationship with Jeff if he has to cough up hundreds more pounds.

Cr@p Cr@p Cr@p!!!!!

I think that it's time the Ex ante'd up for a run-around so you can take his kids to school and get their food.

Sorry to hear that KJ - perhaps time to weigh the car in and spend the £500 on something a bit better? Thats what I did with my old MX5 - it needed a new roof, new tyres all round, had loads of rust and the brakes were shot, in the end I sold the hard top for £300 and got £100 for the car as scrap and spent the £400 I would have spent getting it a scrape through MOT on my current 1.6 BMW - had it over a year now and its been faultless. Sometimes its better to just cut and run...
