Default Does anyone know a UK source for these connectors?

Hi,

I'm looking for female crimp connectors to match the 3.5mm bullets fitted to most aftermarket indicators. I can't seem to find anyone in the UK who stocks such a thing. I've tried searching on Ebay and also specialists like Vehicle Wiring Products and Maplin. Normal automotive bullets are 4mm and plenty of people offer motorcycle specific 3.9mm connectors, but not 3.5mm. Model aircraft 3.5mm don't quite fit (as well as being made for soldering which isn't ideal for a bike)

This supplier in the US has the exact part ..

Anyone found them in the UK? The bizarre thing is that so many indicators have these connectors, for example all four versions on the shelf at Halfords, making it really odd if the matching connectors aren't available.

Am I just not searching for the right description?

You can also get these indy adaptors that fit oem connectors to aftermarket.

Cheers. Shame the postage is so high though, how can they justify £5 postage for something that only weighs 30g? Anyway I can at least get them.

By the way, I assume most people use the adapter leads like you suggest, unfortunately a previous owner chopped the standard indicator connectors off in a former bodge, so getting the female bullets would be the best solution for my case.

I'd have done that if I'd found some 4mm connectors in my boxes of bits.

Sorry for a late response (old age), have a look at this supplier, exceptional wide ranging stock and pricing they have 3.9 and 4.7 connectors "bullets" also related connectors. Hope it's not too late.

I thought I'd mentioned that I'd tried Vehicle Wiring Products, unfortunately they have 3.9 and 4mm, but not 3.5mm.

so what your saying is you are going to buy very expensive connectors to fit the ones you have on the indicators when you could have just cut the ones off that are there and replaced with ones of another size which are pennies. seems a bit of a arz about way of doing things.. but each to their own and all that.

or here is another idea for you. why dont you just buy the OEM loom connector to bullet connector that are sold on ebay and most motorcycle shops......... they are around £5 for one pair.

Harsh but probably fair. I do tend to fiddle around and get what I think is the best solution.

Unfortunately a former owner removed the original loom two pole connectors in favour of twisted wires and sticky tape, so the ready made adapter leads don't really help. "Very expensive" connectors are going to cost less in any case.
