Default Any experience of Carole Nash?

Yipee, renewal time is coming round again. Time for more half hour phone calls to call centres. I've just had a quote from Carole Nash of nearly £190 which, to be fair, was pretty comprehensive cover but are they 60 quid better than Bike Team, who were £125 last year and I would expect to be that or less this year. Does anyone have good or bad experience of either, or both, in the event of actually having to use an insurance policy for what it's for? Sixty quid is a lot of difference.

IIRC with Carole Nash their FC policy includes top level breakdown recovery (inc Europe [not sure if this is applicable to all policies and/or underwriters though]).
I don't know of anyone who has claimed with them. I was with them on the SV but had to cancel the policy when I changed bikes as the underwriter wanted silly money to change the bikes on the policy. This is the only thing I would say is a caution, is if you are considering changing bikes within the next year.

not sure about bike team but carole nash do include a lot of extras like legal and breakdown. Unfortunately this years premium was 2x more than anyone else so I ended up elsewhere. I have used their breakdown and it worked very well.

I have had several policys with them and a claim with them. Great service. After my accident which wrote off the bike, had money in my pocket and bought myself a new one, put on the same policy and riding within 1-2 weeks. not bad going.

I've been recovered twice with CN. Very good service.

I can't complain with my premium. Just got the renewal cost of £228 fc for two bikes. One of which is a pain to insure. Only thing that gets me is the extra for personal accident which is more.

Think I'll be negotiating this year for that inc, and helmet and leathers. Rukka is expensive

Sure I've more than nine years no claims too!

Been with Carol for a few years. Seem great but I've never claimed. Helmet and leather cover is £40 for the year which I think is a bargain!

I've never found CN competitive at all and I'm always suspicious of the vast amount of money they can afford to lavish on their stand at the bike show. They are clearly making stacks of money - probably from people who have the legal cover and never use it! I have used about ten different companies during the last 20+ years and CN have never featured as a competitor premium-wise.

And as always you will get bad feedback. Dad had to claim 5 years ago. He had loads of expensive extras on his bike so had to have their special cover. He had it in writing from then of all the extras covered and they wriggled out of paying some how. He claimed from the third party as it was easier than fighting CN. IMO you will always get good and bad stories. I am with mce for the second year even though everyone on here seems to hate them.
