Default SV fairing

Apols as I'm sure this isn't the first time this has come up, but ...:

why is it a problem to fit a half fairing from a "S" onto a naked SV650. Or is it more a case of "if you want a fairing then buy a "S" instead"?

The reason I'm asking is that I have an SV650 K6, which I love, I prefer the more upright riding position of the naked, and I would like to cut down some windrush, that's all.

Cheers folks.

when you say a "v" do you mean an "S". Im sure you can get some small headlight fairing that would maybe do the job? Have a look at the demontweeks catalogue.

"S" or "V"?

And thanks very much for the links.

You might find the handlebars would foul the fairing... Then again, you might not. I don't know offhand of anyone who's actually done this. It's quite expensive to do though- it might well be cheaper to sell or trade in yours against a faired one then raise the bars.
