Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).![]() |

...Do they want peoples custom or not?
I was enquiring about new fork springs and preload caps for my SV. This is the whole email. Quote:
I understand that prices can increase, but they don't seem to be bothered at all to explain to me what I'm getting for my money. Maybe I should not bother with them at all. They are selling Ohlins progressive springs for £70, all I want to know is what the extra £27 is for. Tossers. |

Just ignore them then. Your email looks reasonable, and I hate rude people, so take your business elsewhere?

Try Steve Jordan M/C's Official Ohlins supplier, top suspension guru recomended by many of the Bemsee racers.

Ages back, I was looking to buy their Stage 2 jet kit- it's a great product IMO, but at the time he wouldn't sell the filter seperately. I'd basically said that I'd take one, if he could guarantee filter availability in the future in the event the standard one got damaged (thinking of contamination, foreign object damage, maybe accidental damage. His response was "IF YOU ARE THAT HAMFISTED I DO NOT RECOMMEND FITMENT OF THE KIT". That's really professional.

If you SPEAK to JHS you'll find that they are more responsive. It's a small business and he probably doesn't have time to "chat" on email. I'm not sticking up for him, but I had a similar experience and found they were much better when you actually spoke to them.

He does read the .org. Also Visordown and probably SV Rider. I know this because he sent me an unpleasant PM on here once after I dared to criticise him on Visordown

Well clearly he is too rich if he blatantly makes people take their custom elsewhere!

![]() In as much as I have had experience of James having an 'off' day/his unique sense of humour(as do eveyone) ![]() Personally I sometimes fail to understand this email malarky. I would have rang myself in the first place. All told JHS is probably know there way around the SVs' better than anyone else. Cheers Ben |
