for the 2003-2007 sv650 part compatibilities

i have found that almost all parts are interchangeable in between these bikes but there are small differences. It seams to be a common question that comes up so i thought it might be a good idea to start a mega thread on this subject. What i am asking is if you know changes that they made in between years and parts that they changed that are not compatible it would be nice if you shared your knowledge

They are not identical, the K3 sits slightly further forward than the K4-. We noticed this when fitting my old K3 LHS assembly to Sam's K5 bike.

However, it's not drastic, so is usable as a temporary replacement, however Sam commented that she felt she was slightly twisted, and it eventually hurt her back.

So it all depends, temp fix, fine, long term solution? Probably better to get a matching pair.

Off the top of my head.

• Radiator on the K5 onwards is smaller.
• Subframe on the K3 is different.

when i fixed my 650 front end all parts were the same with all years, front fairing, lights, indicators, yolks, front subframe, forks, speedo unit, front wheel spindle, bar ends, brake and clutch levers, screen, ****pit cowel, chin fairing, mirrors, rear pillion fairing, fuel tank brackets, front mudguard.

i know that the 2003 and 2004 rear brake systems are compatible
