Wiring up my garage light.
Omo,
Any sparkies out there. I currently have one light in my garage by the back door. Power goes from fuse to the switch then from switch to light. I would like to add another switch by the main shutter. I have had a googlefu moment. And know I need to get two way switch's and a cable with a com wire. The diagrams I have seen so far show the wiring to the light coming from the second switch. My question is, is it possible to leave the wiring to the light were it is and only wire in a new switch. Help with what goes were would be great. As the more diagrams I look at the more confused I am getting.

First or second switch it doesn't matter, wire com to com, L1 to L1 and L2 to L2 from one switch to the other, connect live to L1 and the live feed to the light to L2 on either switch.

That's the best explanation of two way switching I've ever seen, i Walked into the wholesalers a bit back and overheard two supposedly experienced sparks trying to work it out......
