Fitted new oil cooler hoses. The 4 rusty bolts came out first attempt. (phew)

Changed the oil, tightened the chain and had a trial fit of my kriega bag. I've got a tank bag converter kit but there's no way to attach it without rubbing the crap out of my frame and paint. I don't know what they were thinking with the straps that come with this bag. Big thick metal clips that don't fit through anything and don't attach to each other. I'd rather just have big strap that can go under the seat. That is basically what I've done, but because those big metal clips need to go past each other then hook on to the other strap there isn't much length left, so it's restricting how big I can have the bag.

Darren, I use that Halfords anti slip rubber mesh stuff under my tank bag. I wonder if you can use some of that to help protect the paintwork?

Cheers but the straps would still rub the frame. And it is supposed to velcro under the seat but because my seat comes so far up the tank it just doesn't fit.

It should be ok where I have it now

Bit of clear helicopter tape in the right places might be helpful Darren?

I use it on my pushbikes to prevent cable rub etc

Yeah if I had more time I'd probably do that. At least having it on the seat keeps the tank free

That's a good shout. That's what should come with the bag. Rather than heavy metal clips that will be causing damage as they move about

Used to come with the webbing. Frame straps are stronger and needed for the gs brigade
