Default taking out limitation of 34 h.p. in SV 650 S K5

Hello everyone,

Does anyone knows any source of literature on how to remove limitation of 25kw in SV 650 S K5? I live in Switzerland, and these kind of bikes with the limit to 25kw are quite common here. I want to buy moto and cancel the limitation.

The official service says it costs 550 CHF (540$) which is pretty much especially if it's just a matter of cutting some special wire ...

Thanks for any info.

depend's if it's a ecu or old fashioned way of washers in the airbox and a throttle stop ecu is easy just unplug 33 ecu plug in full power ecu the other the airbox washers are easy might struggle with the throttle stop though.

Thanks for the answer. I still hope I should not buy new ECU as in past I was owning Honda CB 400 SF and limit there was canceled by cutting one wire ...

If changing ECU is the only way, seems like it's better to let the official "garage" do this.

If it is an official Suzuki restrictor then all you need to do is swap the ECU for a full power one.

If it is an FI international restrictor kit then you need to remove both the washers from under the throttle bodies and the stop with is on the throttle (restricts movement).

That was a different type of restriction, that was a speed restriction not power.

Thank you all. I checked with the dealer and the answer is that I need to change ECU. Now I need to find the prices for them

Does anyone here rides 34hp version? I just wonder, what the fuel consumption is in this case?

Its 33bhp, and with the ECU restriction the mpg is very good.

Have a look on Ebay or the For Sale section on here for full power ECU's, or post a thread in the Wanted section. The original owner who restricted it should have been given the full power parts.
