Default camping in or near dalby forest?

Tried ringing the high rigg farm place and eventually got an answer, only to be told they're booked up all summer..

Left a voicemail with pexton farm (at the entrance to dalby forest) but nothing from them yet either..

Can anyone recommend any decent campsites (tent camping) nearby? Must have shower/toilets and preferably a shop & pub nearby

Try this link, Ive found a few good sites through them. You can read up on the reviews etc before you go.

Most of these places don't allow you to book for tents, it's first come first served, so you end up mriding around a bit.

My mates who camp up there regularly use High Rigg, who you've tried. They also recommended Pexton Farm near Pickering.

booked in at pexton which is at the entrance to dalby.. just for friday night though as they're full on saturday. We're either gonna bimble upto whitby and find somewhere to camp near robin hoods bay or head down towards skipsea and crash at my parent's lodge on the saturday thanks for all the suggestions guys
