Bought a 650 hack
Something to leave up north for when I'm visiting friends and family. It's a 2000 plate, less than 8k on the clock. Got its battle wounds and needs a bloody good service etc... But anyway, I digress...
I have my full sv1000 front end sitting doing nothing and I'm thinking I'll just bolt it in. Am I right that I just need the special top bearings from TWF to bolt it in? I realise there's the speedo sensor etc but I'll deal with that separately. Thanks in advance. I'll stick some photos up later when I'm off the mobile phone

Re: Bought a 650 hack
you dont need to order the TWF bearing as you can get them here in this country much cheeper http://shop.marksman-ind.com/headrac...rings-13-c.asp you need to search for it. you need the top stem size and the headrace size

Re: Bought a 650 hack
All balls seem to offer both upper and lower bearings for this. I'm not really getting why everyone goes to TWF for the upper bearing tbh

Re: Bought a 650 hack
people go to TWF due to them being the only people who done the bearing originally. its not just SV's that use this bearing, bandits and such like use it as well.
BTW the lower bearing is the same as the SV1000, gsxr etc.etc |

Re: Bought a 650 hack
Yep, aware of the lower one. Is there still a demand for the 650 front end from the mini twin racers?

Re: Bought a 650 hack
Also, do 2nd gen SV shocks fit the 1st gens? I've bought an Ohlins - idea is to put it on my 1000 and put the 1000 shock on the curvy, if possible. Then put the 1000 front end on the curvy.
