How did you check for air leaks? One way is to spray suspect areas with carb cleaner (with engine running) and listen for a change in the way the engine runs.

Try swapping the plug caps and see if it has an affect?

If it does read here or have a look anyway,

https://cx500.000webhostapp.com/SV65..._And_Caps.html

Faulty plug caps can be sneaky little buggers especially in rain.

Well guys, This one has me beat. in 51 years of building/riding bikes I have never been beaten but this one did it. I finally took the carbs apart for the third time and found nothing so I reassembled them carefully swearing at every part and fired it up. Voila! Ran fine so I put it on facebay and flogged it in two hours.

I want to thank you all for your help on this and every other post I have done on here.

Regards,

Andrew,

I must confess that I'm quite sad that you've got rid of that lovely curvy, Blapper.

Thanks Gary. I have to say it was the nicest bike to ride that I've had (after I did the straight bars conversion). Wonderfully neutral handling and quick enough for todays roads.

Thanks to @R1ffR4ff, @Bibio, @embee, @Biker Biggles and everyone else who passed on their knowledge and experience which made owning my SV an even more enjoyable experience.

Well, don't disappear from the Org, just because the curvy has gone doesn't mean you're not welcome.
