Default What is this maneouver called - is it in the Highway Code ???

No idea what this guy was doing apart from trying to get himself killed.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfBP0xmxeHY

Now people MAY get an idea why I have so many anti-Cyclist rants.....

Oh and before anyone says anything about how close to the other cyclist I was, my cam mount it down the side of the bike and is about equal to the widest point of the bike.

that sorta manouver nessecitates the use of one horn and the revving of ones engine. Possibly the use of ones volcabulary of swear words and a flick of ones middle finger.

Maybe his version also includes

"but you may push your cycle anywhere in the box section you like, as long as you go all the way to the kerb 1st. Re-mounting your cycle in the middle of flowing traffic is mandatory"

So why not sit back a moment, let the muppet sort himself out, then go for the overtake, perhaps on the offside just to be original? Given that we all know cyclists think they are a law unto themselves why not allow for the fact a little, let them make their mistakes and make sure we are not involved in them.

Maybe due to the fact that there are so many muppets on the road on cycles, running red lights etc that the best place to be is in front of them ?

If the cam had been rear facing I would have had footage of the other muppet that brushed my left elbow while trying to "muscle" his way in front of me, then after that failed, ended up running the red light of the next crossing (I had just made it through) and then sat with his front wheel level with my rear wheel and less than 6" away from me - I was level with, and sharing a lane with a scooter at this point.

I can name 2 junctions in London that you will see Cyclist run red lights on EVERY day, yet nothing is done to deal with it.

Hell, I was there only for a few days and had to learn how to avoid being ran over by them at every damn pedestrian crossing.

Strange, whenever I ride around London, and I concede I don"t do it as often as you, I don't have that problem. Still, that's life.

You must be riding either at night or during working hours

As well as Mr Walky-Muppet, in that clip also look at the positioning of the cyclists in the Box Junction.

Heres another snippet from today, guy "overtakes" 2 x PCSO's (love the feet down action of the rear one), then while I am stopped at the crossing, runs the red light
