Default Weather Forecast - What not to wear?

So does anyone know what the weather forecast is for the weekend?

I'm planning a little trip up to Yorkshire, and hope to see a few other biklers about.

Trying to decide: Leather or Textiles.

Instead of guess the weather BBC, thought I'd see if anyone over the border with better knowledge of how inaccurate the forcasts are can give me an idea of what to expect.

Textiles, trust me.....if its scorching, leathers are unbearable up there. If it rains, leathers are gonna get soggy all weekend.
I wore my leathers last time it was a scorcher, on one of the recces, way tooooo unbearable. I'll be wearing textiles, my jackets got rather a lot of vents, or a lot of layers whatever the occasion.

We do not talk about AR weather, cause if peeps do it jinxs the weekend

It's not gonna be scorchio 16-18 deg, cloudy, sunny with a possibility of rain you decide, however i'd go for protection over comfort.

No point looking until Thursday, no-one can accurately predict what the weather will be like in a specific reason like the Dales over 2 days in advance

to textile or leathers ? as both sets are well worn comfort isn't an issue, throw a one -piece in the pannier and waterproofing is likewise dealt with.....

as I plan a "spirited" ride up and back unless it's really bad I think on balance it'll have to be leathers, fortunately I done the Olivers mount weekend recently so I've a good idea of conditions that way.

Don't have a babygro to go over the top and doubt I'll have time to get one.

tbf I'll probably end up in leather anyway, I've only got an hour and a bit to get there so unless it's tipping down it'll be reet.

yeah I'm looking at 700 miles in total, can always stop for a brew if it gets to bad.
