The new Hornet doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the original Hornet 900, in my view.

Also, calling it the Hornet when it doesn't have the underseat pipes isn't right!

The headlight on the hornet looks naff. Too low and looks like someone sat on it.

I agree.
I had a 900 Hornet (sold as a 919) in the US:





...although a recurring theme on the 919 forum was "the stink". This was allegedly caused by the rider induced vortex sucking in exhaust emissions from the high pipes. Mine was a California spec 919 (different ECU) and it didn't do it - or was it because I'm short? Never did pin down the answer by the time I sold it.
Some owners resorted to fitting low pipes which, in my mind, defeated the reason for buying the 919 in the first place.

After owning one IL4 I have no real wish to have another. Smooth and competent, absolutely, but it never made me want to go for a ride for the fun of it.
