Default New Sv owner in East Sussex saying hello

As the title states.. I'm Liam.. just bought a 1999 Sv.. having it picked up tomorrow, for delivery on Tuesday. Looks like a well cared for example.. looking forward to modding it a little.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me.. I already have a few questions to ask 😊

I live in Eastbourne btw.. anyone else near by?

Hiya Liam, welcome. I'm in Rochester. Take a look on this forum and you will see local meet-up groups that are fun to visit.

Could i ask.. apart from eBay.. where's a good place to pick up a black rear hugger, for a 99 curvy.

I've looked into the tail tidy for this version and it appears to be pretty much a DIY job, is this correct?

Lastly.. thinking of changing the indicators, are the small oxford arrow ones a direct fit?

Try Powerbronze, as there's Org discount. They do the hugger & tail tidy

Not sure if you've got the faired SV, but assuming you have then you'll need some Indy Leads, as one end has bullet connectors to conect to the Oxford wiring & a Suzuki connector at the other. Saves chopping the wiring loom.

If yours is faired, then you'll need Indy Spacers, for the Curvy TL1000 are the correct shape for the fairing holes

Thanks for the info mavi..

Yes mine is the faired version

So I need some Suzuki Indy leads for the new indicators and the spacers for a Tl1000

Are the flush mounted indicators any good?

Yep, my Oxford Nano's had bullet connectors

A lot of the Ebay listings show the Sv650, but you'll get spacers for the Pointy which won't fit. These are for the Front fairing, I don't know about the rear? http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/indy-spacers

Suzuki TL1000 S 97>02 ISPS01

Personally I wouldn't go for flush mounts, as I want my indicators to be seen, even though they are tiny, they are bright. I don't think the flush mounts protrude enough to be seen by oncoming cars
