Default Just passed my test today!!!

Had an SV waiting for three weeks for me to pass. Today, on my first test I did it. I only had lessons two days previous.
After all that it's been chucking it down all day, so I went out anyway and put 60 cautious miles on her. I have no riding experience and am very scared about leaning over too far, especially in the wet. Also going round tight corners in housing estates is a drag.

Help me out. How quick should i be progressing to lean over? Should I just let it come naturally over time or be adventurous in the dry? Bearing in mind my experience.

Hello all members and I look forward to being part of the SV community!!

Hi Baz - well done on passing and welcome to the site. You cant beat experience = miles ridden through various road conditions.

Welcome & congratulations.

I was pretty inexperienced when I started out on the SV. Like others have said, just take your time.

I found that I quickly got used to the cornering, and was starting to hang off. Then the grip went in the back tyre & I lost all confidence.

I'm still working on getting that back. It just takes a lot of positive re-enforcement, but things started coming back together on my commute into work this morning.
