Default Post build 1 month (ish) update

Hi guys, thought I'd give a quick update on how things are going with my build a lot of you followed over the winter.

The long and short is she's been absolutely superb and hasn't missed a beat. I have now done the full cam swap, switched to a bmc filter, scorpion cans and fitted 150 mains.

Also been playing with suspension setting and she's pretty much there now I think. Inbthe dyno she showing a solid 75RWBHP and 46lb of torque, the bulk of which comes in just after 4.5k rpm.

The dyno operator said it's the best sv he's tested, and chasing peak power would now start robbing bottom and mid power, so leave it alone.

Absolutely no issues with anything mechanical so I'm pretty over the moon to be honest as being my first bike and building it from parts, i was allowing for teething problems, but she just gets on with it.

Just working on my chicken strips now

Cheers again for any help and advice I got from you's guys

Nice, don't rush working on those strips. Be a real shame to add a bit of gravel rash to the styling.

Looks very nice, and 40+ lb-ft from 3,500 to over 9,000rpm is impressive too. Enjoy her

Good to hear, the SV is a great mechanical friend to have, I swear that they souls too and know when we want to play.

Indeed, she's making more torque at 4.5k than most 4 pots in the same class ever do.

Great result. I've had similar joy with my GSXR front end conversion - albeit I have a weaving issue at low speed. I think I've either torqued the steering nut wrong or it twisted when I torqued the lock nut. This weekend should reveal all.

Bet ya you've over-tightened the steering stem nut. I did the same thing

40Nm with a quarter turn to back it off. I think I might have let it twist while torquing the lock nut though, need to check.

Did you encounter weaving as well?
