Default AR10, the Hovis TT - DETAILS

AR10 the Hovis TT

6th to 8th August

brought to you by....

HOVIS AR president and rideout navigator from the skies (Miss you Hovie)

GRUNTYGIGGLES AR Vice President & organiser

LILY Hovis' PA and AR secretary

DIAMOND head of logistics

per person for the weekend

kids and dogs free

"160-185 miles of twisty, bike friendly roads taking in the best views and roads that Wales has to offer.

Starting from the Picturesque Campsite near Hay-on-Wye the route takes us through Abergavenny on route to experience the fantastic 1000 sheep road and the Brecon Beacons

From there we head to Llandovery, followed by a drop into the beautiful Elan Valley before going across to Crossgates then skirting past Talgarth to finish back at the campsite in Hay-on-Wye"

Camping will be at the Baskerville Hall Hotel in Clyro, near Hay-on-Wye, Powys HR3 5LE . The hall is where Arthur Conan Doyle got the inspiration for the book, Hounds of the Baskervilles.

Camping facilities are:

3 acre level field

Hard standing for bikes, but you can have bikes on the field as well
Plentiful toilet and shower facilities for everyone
Hotel bar with separate entrance exclusively for us
A swimming pool free of charge

The hotel has a nightclub attached to the rear and is 5 if you fancy making shapeson the dance floor!

This is the place..........quite an old picture, has much more grass on the field now than you can see in the picture. Having camped there I can say that there is no noise to be heard from the club when in the field... I didn't even know it was there until I was told!

Food will be provided by an on site catering van. They will be serving a wide range of food all weekend so you won't get bored of just having burgers! They will also be offering free teas and coffees all weekend (excluding other hot and cold drinks). They have been fantastic in tailoring what they do specifically for this event and will stay open all weekend and until the early hours to feed all the drunkards, so please please make as much use of this van as you can.

if you dont fancy camping there is a hotel aswell

Some of you may have noticed that the price for camping at the AR has been dropped.

I have been able to arrange everything we need free of charge thanks to some very kind people offering their services.

For this reason, there will be no extra charges towards the organising of the event and you all just get to pay for your camping and nothing more*.

There will be alcohol available at the bar, I will confirm when that is due to be open and you will all be able to get free tea/coffee all weekend from the catering van

* with the exception of food, drink, petrol, phone bill, hangover cures and posting of bail at the local clink
