Morning all. Been to the boot sale and lucked out on the Minoltas unfortunately. He sold everything. I did score a couple of cold ones though:

The Budweiser had a film in but the seller proceeded to open the camera while loaded to show me!

Pretty nifty aren't they? Saw a Minolta 35-70 f2.8 lens for a fiver but it had a dented filter ring and a lot of dust inside.

I got the photos back from the Dacora; went for jpegs on a CD rather than prints. I've uploaded them to onedrive and there's a link here. Hope it works. (click on 'view original' and magnify them for full size.)

Overall, I'm surprised. They've come out better than expected. The colours are fairly distinct, contrast doesn't seem too bad and I think they're as sharp as can be expected. Interior ones at f2.8 and 1/50th didn't fare too well but apart from that, I'm happy.

There are a couple of x500s on ebay but going for around £50 although that's with a 50mm lens, which I could sell and recoup some of the cost. Alternatively, the x300 and x700 are in more plentiful supply and cheaper. I'll keep an eye on them over the weekend.

Well I'm at another bootsale tomorrow so I will keep an eye out. May squeeze in two if i have time. I liked the Tulips and the Cherry Blossom shots. Did you take a photo at the bootsale?

Dacora pics are looking good, Yoko! Yeah the ones inside are a few stops too dim for sure. In the main though they look good, lowlights are well exposed. Just a bit of flare from bright sky light, you could try a lens hood or maybe a good skylight/UV filter that has better coatings than the Dacora's front glass. But nice and sharp, and good contrast.
