Cleaning melted rubber from plastic...
Had some new tyres fitted on Friday and thought I would send the old one off in style so did a fairly smokey burnout - great fun! However whilst cleaning the bike over the weekend I noticed that the back of the numberplate and the undertray has a nice line of rubber blobs all over it that refuse to come off!
Anyone got any tips to remove it? Dont really want to scrape them off as I am worried about damaging the plastic... Yes I know I am a muppet for doing it in the first place!

Re: Cleaning melted rubber...
Warm it up with a hair dryer maybe, with abit of wd40 on a cloth rub like mad. Failing that i used an old credit card to get stubborn muck off before now, wroth a go!!!

Re: Cleaning melted rubber...
Would you believe that just rubbing it with a finger gets it off....! Will attack it properly later on - thanks people!

Re: Cleaning melted rubber...
Hey Skip, tar and glue remover (from an autoshop) or nail polish remover should do the trick too (and I know you've got plenty lying around!).
