Hi Kenzie, I'll leave the Trip as it is for now I think. The leatherette or whatever it's called is fine so no need to replace yet and I quite like the classic look and feel. I might go for a change later.
SLRs ... this thread has got me thinking about them. I'd love an OM2n (I preferred that to the SP ) but they are a bit pricey and would probably be wasted on me now so looking at fairly basic but solid models. A bit of internet research threw up Minoltas, Fujica st605 or Yashica fx3 but I like the look of the Minoltas and there seems to be quite a big range of reasonably priced MD lenses on ebay. X500 seems to be the best of that series so if he's got a body in decent condition that works, I'd be very interested. would also consider the X300 too though.

On another topic, I took the Dacora film in to the shop yesterday; it should be back tomorrow. The film was a little stiff to get out and I could hear clicking sounds so I had a little look as I was putting a new one in. It looks like the release button isn't working properly. Pushing it should, I suppose, allow the little wind on cog at the bottom to reverse but this isn't happening. I'll need to fix that. Hmmm.

Spotted this if it's still available, bit of a trek though but a good bit of stuff included

I'm not very familiar with Olympus SLRs but people who have had them do love them. I think you can get a 50mm f1.4 Zuiko lens for them, which sounds pretty good to me.

Hmmm, some good stuff there. Especially how cheap the lenses are.

Already have a Zorki 4, thanks for the heads up. If I was closer I would probably buy it. Can't believe how much that OM is.

That's a nice little bundle for someone but realistically, all I'd need would be the body and the 2 zooms. I did love that camera though. Some slimeball nicked it from my accommodation when I was working in France.

probably just something like a 28-80 and then something higher up to 135/210/300. That would cover the bases for now.
Re the camera, body only or with a 50 lens is all I'm looking for.

The shop in Leeds had a little box of £5 lenses with various mounts and a bunch of random Tamron adaptalls for a tenner each

Was thinking about adaptalls then I could switch between the three or four slr mounts that I have.
