Finally decided to move into the modern world and buy a smartphone to replace my 15yo Nokia. I settled on Samsung J5 and searching online I found that the cheapest payg was £130 at Vodaphone. So today I went into my local Vodaphone store only to find there was an in-store offer of the phone for £90.

Result.

The J5 is a Mahoooosive great thing if you're used to something that fits easily into your pocket. Got the Monkey one when she broke her last handset and had a good look around it before handing it over - I'll stick to a more pocket friendly four inch screen thanks, even if you cannot see web pages as clearly. Hope you enjoy it.

I don't actually make many calls; I just topped up £10 about 6 months since my last top up. I will be using it mostly for internet applications and to pair with my 8" Samsung tablet. That's why I went with the larger screen. Sue has a Note II and it it easier to read than a small phone.
