What?! You had a helmet on and presumably some hefty gloves perhaps? Should have just decked one and the other probably would have pegged it

It's really hard to have a decent swing while sat on a bike, 60% of power comes from hip movement, which you can't do sat down!

A friend of mine has a big f#ckoff D-lock clipped across yokes, and he is scarily quick at retrieving it (in case he needs to lock his bike up really quickly)

Edit: from what you've said they were quite young? In which case it's a tough call!

It really just took me completely by surprise and as YorkieChris sez I was off balance coz I was sat on the bike.

Nobody in the line of traffic behind me tried to do anything as they were all scared that the little b@stards had a knife

One bloke did stop with me at next set of lights and offered to be a witness.

But I saw a policeman at the bike shop at lunchtime when I went to get a new brake lever and he said that they still had not caught them

Aye but he was knocked off so didn't need to swing sitting on the bike, didn't sound like an option anyway, too quick

No first one was scruffy little asian type with short beard , other was white thin chav in a hoody that I did not get a really good look at coz he had the hood up.

i was more shook up by having to drop the bike at that point than trying to have ago - plus I was also concerned that they might have a blade. they were so far gone that I think you could have shot them and they would not have felt it

I'm considering fitting some of those sharpened studs to front of my handguards. That should do a decent job of any f#ckin lemming that gets in the way.
