Default SV is idling at 500/600 rpm

Am having a slight problem and because of this the bike is switching off more or less everytime I let go of the throttle. Now I know it;'s just a matter of tightening/loosening a screw to get the to increse or reduce teh idle speed, but where is taht screw? Sv 650s K4

Crouch down on the left of the bike and you'll see a screw nestling in between frame struts, attached to a bit of white plastic.

I would have thought on the pointy model this would have all been controled by the engine managment computer.

The first set of throttle butterflies are still controled directly by the throttle cable, and aren't attached to the ECU.

Another quick thing to check is if the bike is running on one cylinder (or at least attempting to) when at idle. Slowly drop the revs from, say, 4000 and see if you get a step change in the revs (and lots of rough running and, if you've got a race can, loud bangs). In extreme cold/damp conditions my bike has a tendancy to do this until it has warmed up, check condition of plugs/plug gap, clean drain hole in front cylinder etc (see many other threads about single cylinder running).

Ok incresed teh idling speed, now idling at about 1200-1500 rpm, prolly not the best situation but will play with that in the next few days to find the best idling speed. However haven't had any problems at traffic lights/while slowing down at all this morning so am guessing it was the idle speed.
