Cb500x
Well the SV has gone and has been instantly replaced with my new commute which is a honda CB500X. Seems to be pretty good, the SV was faster but I was after a more relaxing ride, better mpg and something that hopefully won't fall apart at the thought of riding in the winter
I have had three SV's in a row so this is pretty different, the gears are great. Time will tell but I think this bike could be really good. I considered a Gladius for about 2 seconds but I just can't get passed the name and v-strom's are 2k more which made the honda almost a no brainer. |

Re: Cb500x
Very comfy and predictable bike if a little underpowered, but still a good choice for an everyday hack.

Re: Cb500x
Well I whacked on some ACF50 and took it out for a good few miles, I haven't been around for a few weeks so it was nice to get out. It's a really nice easy ride so I'm very pleased at the moment

Re: Cb500x
Yep fiddlers and yes they put the tower back up, that must be about 14 or 15 years ago . I can see why you think Conor's but it's one of the stations at the end of the old Ici plant at Runcorn.

Re: Cb500x
Isn't that the one that needs a full valve clearance check on first service?
I half remember a convo at my local dealer..... |

Re: Cb500x
Yep, the 2103 ones needed a valve check after 600 miles as it is a new engine design, honda being over cautious, the 2014's don't as they didn't find many if any problems. Past that it's 8000 mile service intervals or annually. I got my service for free when I brought it with 500 miles on the clock so saved a further 300 quid.
