That is interesting, and probably very useful for those that are dependant on their licence.

My insurance against losing my licence is not driving beyond the speed limit. Most of the time

They will want to weasle out of any claim!

You've still lost your license - they are offering alternative travel (bus fare).

I wonder if you get a choice of the 'alternative travel'. I guess it will depend how far your travelling. I doubt they'd pay for taxi's to work every day

Can't see anything to stop people buying a junk old car or bike, getting flashed enough for a ban/lose licence and then claiming a hefty travel bill (train for me would cost about £280 a month).

For most of us, losing our licence is a bad thing we wouldn't want, but to a scooter chav, this must look like a bargain ... pay your £100 or so, get flashed and then have up to 12 months of free travel.

I have this cover with my policy. It's public transport only and certainly not something I'd want to have to use. Can't stand buses lol but nice to know it's there whilst pootling around our gatso filled roads .
