So how did the cap come off? You must have left it somewhere surely, they can't just unscrew randomly

Unless the bike was parked where some souvenir hunter helped himself. That's why I have an anti-tamper one on mine.

Not needed now thanks Pete. The cork is doing a sterling job and I've ordered a new one which will be with me on Tuesday. Thanks for the offer though.
