Default Servicing

I had my bike (650S K4) serviced when I got it at 8700 miles back in november, the guy at the suzuki dealership where it was done (EC Bates in Dartford if anyone knows it) said the next service was to be 12 months or 4000 miles from when I had it done.

I've nearly done 4000 miles since the service was done so was wondering if somebody could answer these questions:

a) does someone have a suzuki service schedule so I know if/when it does need doing?

b) what should the service include?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I can't speak about the K4 but the K5 (and my K6 gixer for that matter) serviceing is 3.5K not 4K.

What needs doing varies depending on the milage, 600 miles first service is the usual oil, (if I recall, I don't have my SV anymore) filter grease and tighten stuff, examine stuff (brakes etc). 4K is the same but with the air filter check as well. 7.5K is about the same but might need a new air filter. 11K the same as the 4K 14.5K is a biggie as the valves are checked and adjusted.

For the 14.5 - 15K service this is a rough price guide for a V2 by some bods that I tend to trust. I'm sure you can find some cheaper places over your way though.
